How does the design process work?
Sarah has a collection of sample dresses for you to try on, to help understand what your dream dress is like and what suits you. The dresses allow you to see the quality of her work.
You can choose a dress from The Collection and have it adapted to suit and Made to Measure, or you can have a Bespoke Dress designed individually for you. Bespoke dresses begin as ideas on a blank sheet of paper which are then used to create a unique Couture dress that is cut to fit and flatter you.
Ordering Your Wedding Dress
Aim to order your dress at least six to eight months before your wedding day. We can work to a shorter time-scale, but this will depend on how elaborate your dress is and how busy we are. We do get booked up in advance, and if you are planning an event in the summer months it would be wise to contact us as soon as possible.
The first step is to arrange an appointment with Sarah. This is to ensure her personal attention, which continues throughout the time it takes to design and make your dress. You can try on dresses and separates from Sarah's collection as these are often the starting point for ideas and you will be able to browse through boxes of fabrics and trimmings and jars of beads. Sarah may sketch ideas for your dress so you can see what your dress will look like. Inevitably the studio turns into a hive of creativity. It's fun!
Once you have decided on the style of your dress we will provide you with an estimate of the cost. We require a deposit to secure your booking, and then we will arrange to take your measurements.
